Polish Questions

What does 10 Free mean & how is it beneficial?

Does not contain: Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, Xylene, parabens, animal by-products, and fragrance.

10 Free Nail Polishes are a lot more health-conscious for not only the consumer but for the nail technician who is breathing in the fumes on a regular basis during services with clients. It is also ideal for people with allergies and those who are pregnant.

Why do you only have 8ml bottles?

We found with research that most people who use nail polish often throw out their bottles about halfway through due to lack of use yielding in expired/hardening polish ending up on the landfill. So to help prevent unnecessary waste we sell 8ml bottles instead of the standard 15ml.

Do I need to use a topper or top coat with these?

Adding a topcoat is ideal to help seal in your manicure/pedicure to add additional shine or just extend your nail polish.

Do some of your nail polish colors stain?

Yes! In each product description we list the fine details such as number of recommended coats, opacity, stainability, and much more!

How long does it take for the nail polish to dry?

We recommend using thin coats and allowing 1-3 mins to dry between. The more coats and the shorter time to dry may cause the polish to be prone to dents, smudges, chips, and bubbles. Overall our feedback and testing shows a fast dry time.

Should I shake the nail polish before use?

Yes, we always recommend to shake each polish before using to ensure any shimmer or glitters are evenly dispersing before application.

What happens if some of my nail polish settles?

Sometimes this can happen if sitting out for too long between uses. We recommend to give it a good shake. Alternatively you can use a magnet to help drag the stainless steel mixing balls to mix the polish as well. See our tutorial here

What if I have a lot of bubbles in my application?

To help remove excessive bubble during application we recommend thinner coats and more drying time between coats. As well as gently rolling the bottle of nail polish slowly back and forth between your hands. You can also do this with the cap for smoother rolling and HIGHLY recommend doing this over something soft like a couch or close to a surface so it doesn't fall and break on the floor.

General Questions

What if I have Allergies?

Nail Polish: We don't list our formulas publicly due to prior issues of shades being duplicated. However if you have an allergy please contact us with the allergen(s) and we are more than happy provide you with a list of items that contain the ingredient(s).

Skin Care: All Ingredients are listed on the product page and the product label.

How is your skin care different from other more established brands?

While creating our skin care product we study other brands and formulas as well as reviews and the ingredients. As well as deep research into the history of products and historically what has been successful in the past and even the ethics in farming ingredients in present day. From there we break down the ingredients and research and study the benefits and cons (greasy, poor absorption, etc.). As well as looking into suppliers, origins, and sustainability.

We test all formulas thoroughly and make improvements until we are satisfied with the end result before releasing to the market. Example: one of the key points in making our Cuticle Oil was tested to make sure it doesn't leave your electronics (phone, keyboard, remote) greasy as well as fast absorption so you can use it anywhere any time.

While our products may not be a solve all for every skin type and concern out there, we do take our formulas seriously and has outstanding quality.

Why don't you have seasonal or limited edition releases?

We dont wish to flood the market with too many products. As well as we are looking to make reliable products that you can come back to restock anytime.

There are many brands out there that produce monthly limited edition colors that ship a month after you order them. Practices like this often cause more waste in our land fills and often bad for mental health.

For example many of the sites that sell limited edition products not only influence you to "Buy Now" in a small time frame of a week or few days. But that you are preordering a product that is untested in the market that the business is selling hundreds if not thousands of nail polishes that may chip fast or don't look like the picture when it arrives.

But also this practice encourages people to buy and collect in excess such as: Buying a whole collection or buying multiples of one color because FOMO (fear of missing out). And with the item being for preorder for a few days only and often not lining up with when people have money from their paychecks,  FOMO kicks in and often you'll see comments on posts for the item promoted on social media of people proudly stating they spent their spouses money on it, or they went without food or certain items to buy it.

Palafoxia Beauty is looking to be as sustainable as possible to prevent unwanted products added to the landfill. As well as nurturing better mental health practices by not producing products in excess and/or limited edition items.
